As the NFL legal tampering period kicked off on Monday morning, a trend began and it wasn’t great news for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Three top pass rushers — Shaq Barrett of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Romeo Okwara of the Detroit Lions, and Markus Golden of the Arizona Cardinals — have all agreed to stay with their respective teams.

Barrett and Okwara were both connected to the Raiders as pass rusher is the team’s greatest need. We recently conducted a poll asking readers who was their dream free agent signing for the Raiders on defense and Barrett was a big winner.
However, all is not lost. The pass rush market is deep and there are plenty of options for the Raiders.
Among them are Los Angeles Chargers pass-rusher Melvin Ingram and Pittsburgh Steelers’ pass-rusher Bud Dupree. Ingram has been long connected to Las Vegas because he played the past four seasons for new Raiders’ defensive coordinator Gus Bradley in Los Angeles.
So, while names are disappearing off the market, there are still plenty of options for Las Vegas at its biggest need area.
