Raiders reportedly talking to Bengals’ receiver A.J. Green

Veteran WR would be interesting addition

The first name connected to the Las Vegas Raiders during the legal tampering period is certainly an interesting one — Cincinnati Bengals longtime star wide receiver A.J. Green.

That would be a splash for sure.

The Raiders-Green talk certainty raises some questions.

First, if they do sign Green, that would likely means they won’t retain wide receiver Nelson Agholor in free agency. Also, it is interesting that the first player connected to the Raiders during this pride is an offensive player ... they badly need defense.

There is also questions of how much Green, a potential future Hall of Famer, has remaining in the tank? Green — who will be 33 in July — has dealt with injuries the past couple of seasons and only he had a combined 93 catches in the past two seasons.

Unless it is at an extremely reasonable price, a Green signing may not be worth it in my opinion.

What are your thoughts?
