Would you trade Yannick Ngakoue for Nelson Agholor?
In some ways, the Las Vegas Raiders did just that on Monday and it was a wise choice.
Shortly after the Raiders gave Ngakoue a two-year, $26 million deal, the New England Patriots poached Agholor from the Raiders for the exact same deal. The Raiders need a pass rusher much more than they need a receiver.
Patriots are giving former Raiders’ WR Nelson Agholor a two-year, $26 million deal, per source.

The Raiders wanted Agholor back after he had a strong season in 2020 after signing a one-year deal worth just more than $1 million as a free agent from the Philadelphia Eagles. But there was no way they could justify giving Agholor, a team leader, that much money.
Agholor had 48 catches and eight touchdowns with the Raiders last year. He was good and he had a strong chemistry with quarterback Derek Carr, but it wasn’t like he was a true No. 1 receiver.
Agholor can be replaced. The Raiders were connected to wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and A.J. Green earlier Monday.
Plus there are other talented receivers on the market — including Corey Davis and Will Fuller — Agholor was just the first receiver to get a deal and, because he got strong money, the receiver market will not be cheap.
Stay tuned to see what the Raiders are going to do next at the position.
