In a major surprise, the Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly releasing star center Rodney Hudson.

This is simply shocking. Hudson has been the heart and soul of the Raiders and he has been one of their best players for the six years he was a Raider. He is an elite player at his position.
Because of dead cap space, this move costs the Raiders more than $2 million in cap room. So, they lose a great player and don’t gain any cap space.
It makes me wonder: what is next?
The Raiders have major work to do on the offensive line. They are trading right tackle Trent Brown to the New England Patriots, they cut starting guard Richie Incognito and reportedly are cutting starting guard Gabe Jackson. They could try to keep Jackson and bring back Incognito.
Currently, the starting center in Las Vegas is Andre James. Thus. the Raiders have another hole.
Expect Hudson to be wildly coveted. One team to keep an eye on is the Kansas City Chiefs. his first team.
