The Las Vegas Raiders’ wild day continued as they agreed to terms with former San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Solomon Thomas.
The #Raiders are signing DL Solomon Thomas to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, per source. A new home for Thomas, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2017 draft who’s still only 25.

Thomas is a versatile defensive lineman. who will likely be in the top of the defensive tackle rotation. The Raiders re-signed Johnathan Hankins on Wednesday, as well. Thomas, Hankins and Maurice Hurst will probably be in the top of the rotation at the position with defensiveend Clelin Ferrell moving inside some as well.
UPDATE: Add Quinton Jefferson to the mix.
Vet presence.

We have signed unrestricted free agent DT Quinton Jefferson » https://t.co/kcGPc4jF3l pic.twitter.com/CBQ12x4vjq
It will be interesting to see if new Las Vegas defensive coordinator Gus Bradley can bring out the best in Thomas.
He was the No. 3 overall draft pick in 2017. The 49ers declined his fifth-year option and became free after four mostly disappointing seasons. He never made a huge impact on what became a strong defensive front in San Francisco.
Thomas can be disruptive, but he is not known as a sack guy. He has six career sacks.
The Raiders hope Thomas can reach his potential in 2021. He tore his ACL in Week 2 last season. but is expected to be ready before the season.
Last year, they signed Maliek Collins to a one-year. six-million deal and he was a bust. Perhaps they can get more out of Thomas.
