Silver Minings: Yannick Ngakoue, Quinton Jefferson reunite in Las Vegas

They played together in college

It will be a Terps’ reunion in the desert.

On Monday, defensive end Yannick Ngakoue from the Maryland class of 2016 agreed to terms with the Las Vegas Raiders. Then on Wednesday, defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson from the Maryland class of 2016 signed with the Raiders.

Jefferson told NFL reporter Josina Anderson that he is excited to reunite with his college teammate.

Both Maryland products fit the system of new Raiders’ defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. Ngakoue was drafted by Bradley in Jacksonville, and Jefferson was drafted by Seattle, which still used Bradley’s scheme after he left

Now, they are together in Las Vegas.
