The University of Miami had its pro day on Monday and it may not have gone so well for pass rusher Gregory Rousseau.
There were reports that Rousseau didn’t have a great showing and it may hurt his draft status. He needed to have a strong pro day because he opted out of the 2020 season, so he had to show he made progress over the past year. Now, there is talk that he may not be a sure first-round pick any longer.
The Raiders had been connected to Rousseau often this offseason. Of course, their need to draft a pass rusher in the first round lessened after they added Yannick Ngakouke at the position in free agency — and haven’t filled needs at right tackle and free safety.
Still, if Rosseau drops, perhaps the Raiders will consider him at No. 48 in the second round.
