The Las Vegas Raiders’ guard position is changing as the team is reportedly close to cutting Gabe Jackson, who has been a starter for the Raiders since being a third-round draft pick in 2014.
With Jackson on the way out, let’s look at three key factors for Las Vegas at guard. However, there’s no certainty all of these players will still be with the team in 2021 ...

Denzelle Good:
He is a free agent, but the Raiders love him and they likely wouldn’t decide to part ways with Jackson if they didn’t think they could keep Good. But if Good decides to go to the open market, there is a chance he could leave and that would be tough for the Raiders.
Richie Incognito:
There was speculation he could be a cut candidate because he will be 38 in July, he is coming off a serious leg injury and makes $7 million. But with Jackson out, would the Raiders really cut both of their starters? Still, if Incognito is back, there are risks because of his age and health history.

John Simpson:
When the Raiders traded up to take Simpson in the fourth round last year, he looked like the natural replacement for Jackson. The Clemson product played some as a rookie and was just average. Still, the team has big hopes for him, and if Good or Incognito aren’t back, he will likely start.
CONCLUSION:
This is still a fluid situation. But if Good and Incognito are both back, the Raiders should be OK in their post-Jackson life.
