April 30

2:22 p.m.: I missed this the other day. Reportedly, Richard Sherman will sign with the Raiders, 49ers or Jets after the draft. Interesting.

10:31 a.m.: Keep an eye on Texas safety Caden Sterns tonight.

9:12 a.m.: Here is an example of the Raiders’ trend of reaching early in the draft.


April 29

1:56 p.m.: The Raiders have signed restricted free agent Daniel Carlson, which was always happening.

7:43 a.m.: How’s this for a draft-morning eye opener? The Raiders are one of five teams showing interest in Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones. It would depend on what the cost is, for me to back this move.


April 28

10:59 a.m.: There is a new quarterback in the AFC West. The Broncos still could draft a quarterback in the first round. What this means to me is, the Drew Lock era is close to ending in Denver.

8:49 a.m.: Virginia Tech tackle Christian Darrisaw — who could be a Raiders’ target in the first round — has some medical issues teams are considering.

12:23 p.m.: The draft rumors continue,

8:17 a.m.: Some around the NFL believe the Raiders will be getting a second-round talent at No. 17.


April 26

12:15 p.m.: The Raiders currently barely have enough salary cap room to pay their rookie class. They will likely have to create some more room.

4:00 p.m.: First Arden Key and now Maurice Hurst. Hurst just tweeted he has joined the San Francisco 49ers, having signed with them on Wednesday. They were both cut by the Raiders a week ago.

8:50 a.m.: The NFL may make some changes to the NFL Combine in future years.

10:22 a.m.: The Raiders’ offseason program has begun.

9:32 a.m.: The Detroit Lions reportedly are interested in trading down from the No. 7 spot. Perhaps the Raiders will show interest.

1:03 p.m.: The NFL schedule will be released in May.

9;O7 a.m.: Former Raiders’ pass-rusher Aldon Smith is now with the Seattle Seahawks after spending last season with the Dallas Cowboys,. Should the Raiders have tried to bring him back?

9:36 a.m.: Jadeveon Clowney is signing with the Cleveland Browns. He was connected to the Raiders, but I don’t think that was ever close to happening and that’s fine.

10:49 a.m.: The NFL is getting serious about its commitment to vaccines. It will be interesting to see if any players and coaches are affected around the league.

10:01 a.m.: Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney — who has recently been connected to the Raiders — has a visit lined up in Cleveland.


April 9

2:52 p.m.: Oh no, OTA trouble may be brewing. Jon Gruden (and every coach) will be pissed if this happens. Stay tuned.
