In another sign that 2021 will be a normal year for the new Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders helped announce the first non-NFL major sporting event will be held at the beautiful facility in August.
The Concacaf Gold Cup soccer final will be held at Allegiant Stadium on Aug. 1.

Raiders president Marc Badain was quoted in this release by Concacaf:
“The Raiders are proud to join Las Vegas in hosting the Final of the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup at Allegiant Stadium in August. The Gold Cup stands out among the many world-class events that will be hosted at Allegiant Stadium, and we are excited to bring Concacaf’s signature event to the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World.”
The plan is for fans to be at the Gold Cup final, making the first fan-attended sporting event in the stadium. The Raiders, of course, played their first season in Las Vegas without fans.
The first non-sporting event at the stadium is planned to be a Garth Brooks concert on July 10. Recently, officials said they expect a full Allegiant Stadium for Raiders games this fall. Tuesday’s announcement is clear sign that the plan has momentum.
