While NFL teams and players are engaged in a stare down when it comes to in-person workouts this offseason, the league is giving the players a break when it comes to their free time.

The NFL told teams that players will not be subject to discipline if they attend “high risk” events in their free time this offseason, which is another sign that guidelines are being loosened during the coronavirus pandemic. This means that players can freely go to restaurants, bars and indoor events if they choose.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, players were subject to discipline if they did such things during last season.
