Stuffed inside his weekly NFL notes column, NBC Sports reporter Peter King wrote on Monday that he wouldn’t be surprised if the Las Vegas Raiders traded defensive end Carl Nassib.

King didn’t go into great detail about his reasoning for thinking the Raiders may move Nassib. But clearly he has heard it somewhere, whether it is from inside the Raiders’ organization or from another team that may have interest or have heard from the Raiders about Nassib.

Honestly, I wouldn’t expect the Raiders to be able to get much in return for Nassib. I’d think a low Day 3 pick would be the range if there would even be much interest in Nassib on the trade market at all.

Nassib did not have a good first season with the Raiders in 2020 — he had just 2.5 sacks and was a healthy scratch for two games. He also has a large contract even thought it was restructured this year, so moving him won’t be easy.

The Raiders have already cut pass rusher Arden Key this offseason. Getting rid of Nassib could make room for a pass rusher the Raiders may draft in the early rounds.

But, again, trading Nassib may not be easy,
