The Las Vegas Raiders have set their roster at the 90-player maximum (for this time of year) by adding yet another wide receiver.
The Raiders announced they have signed receiver Caleb Scott. He signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2018 as an undrafted free agent from Vanderbilt.
Scott, who is 6’2, 203 pounds, was with the Seahawks in the preseason in 2018-19 and then spent time on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad last year. He has not appeared in an NFL regular-season game.
The 25 year old is a speed demon, however, and was clocked with a 4.4 40-yard dash at the NFL combine three years ago. He played in 44 college games at Vanderbilt and started 18 games.
The Raiders have a deep group at wide receiver and now have 12 receivers on the roster. They very likely won’t keep more than six at the position on the 53-man roster and Scott is likely a major long-shot to make the cut. His most likely bet in Las Vegas is sticking around on the practice squad and trying to develop on it.
