Betting odds released for all 17 Raiders games

Sportsbooks never sleep.

Five days after the NFL 2021 regular season schedule was announced, the Westgate casino in Las Vegas has released odds on nearly every NFL game for the entire 18-week schedule.

The Las Vegas Raiders are favored in just six of the games. Ouch.

Sep. 13 vs. Baltimore Ravens (Monday night) 5:15 PM ESPN/ABC
Ravens are favored by 3.5 points, 51 points over/under.

Sep. 19 at Pittsburgh Steelers 10:00 AM CBS
Steelers are favored by 5.5 points, 49 points over/under.

Sep. 26 vs. Miami Dolphins 1:05 PM CBS
Pick winner. 46.5 over/under.

Oct. 4 at Los Angeles Chargers (Monday night) 5:15 PM ESPN
Chargers are favored by 4 points. 49.5 over/under.

Oct. 10 vs. Chicago Bears 1:05 PM CBS
Raiders are favored by 3.5 points. 46.5 over/under.

Oct. 17 at Denver Broncos 1:25 PM CBS
Broncos are favored by 3.5 points. 47 is over/under.

My thoughts:
Sportsbooks are smart, so these lines have credence. Still, odds for games that will be played in six months or later should be taken with a grain of salt. Betting lines for the entire season are bound to move based on injuries and performance. Ultimately, these lines aren’t etched in stone or an indication of how the season will unfold.

But it’s May and it’s fun to check them out.
