There’s nothing like eggs and pancake blocks in the morning.
The Las Vegas Raiders will be getting to work bright and early this week during the minicamp. The Las Vegas Review Journal has reported the team will start practice at 7:30 a.m. today, through Thursday for the mandatory minicamp because of extreme heat that is expected to blast the Las Vegas desert this week.
The @Raiders really had no choice but to move their minicamp practices to 7:30 am this week given the intense heat on the horizon. As someone told me yesterday: "We have to deal with 118 degrees."

The Raiders do have a beautiful indoor practice facility in Henderson, but because of COVID restrictions and the fact that 90 players will be practicing this week, the outdoor fields are a better practice fit this week.
The early practice time shouldn’t adversely affect the team. The day will simply be adjusted accordingly with more meetings and study time after practice than normal.
But expect updates earlier than normal this week, which is not a bad thing.
Other Raiders links:
- Rodgers watch: The Aaron Rodgers saga in Green Bay keeps getting more dramatic.
- Media day: The Raiders had fun in preparing for minicamp, which, yes, Josh Jacobs will be at after not being at OTAs.
- Looking good, Morrow: Raiders’ linebacker Nicholas Morrow has some nice metrics via Next Gen Stats.
- Harsh: Fansided thinks the Raiders have a “murky future.”
