The NFL deadline for teams to get down to the initial 53-man rosters is at 1 p.m. PT Tuesday. Teams are starting the process early and the Las Vegas Raiders could make cuts as soon as today.

This is your place to find out all the latest news and rumors about the Raiders’ moves plus decisions around the league that could affect your favorite team. Come back early and often.

September 1

1:03 p.m.: Tight end Derek Carrier could be a Raider again as soon as Thursday.

11:40 a.m.: Raiders’ injury update:

10:44 a.m.: It’s a number’s game.

10:29 a.m.: The Denver Broncos are cutting running back Royce Freeman. Perhaps the Raiders will show interest. He played with Raiders’ backup quarterback Marcus Mariota at Oregon in 2014.

9:38 a.m.: The Denzel Perryman trade is official.

August 31

2:43 p.m.: Here are the Raiders’ official cuts. Among the cuts we didn’t know about are Trey Ragas, B.J. Emmons, Jimmy Morrissey, Dallin Leavitt, Derek Carrier and D.J. Turner. Jalen Richard makes roster. So does tight end Nick Bowers.

2:17 p.m.: No surprise on Amik Robertson, but give him credit for having a strong camp.

1:46 p.m.: First, Karl Joseph, now John Brown.

1:25 p.m.: Another non-shocking cut:

1:13 p.m.: More cuts. These are not surprises:

12:58 p.m.: Undrafted rookie wide receiver Dillon Stoner was cut. That probably means veteran John Brown is safe. Also, with so many recently drafted receivers cut this week, I’d expect Stoner to clear waivers and go to Raiders’ practice squad.

12:25 p.m.: Here’s a surprise: Karl Joseph is cut, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

12:14 p.m.: Defensive tackle Kendal Vickers is cut. He was a surprise addition last year. The defensive tackle room is deep now, which is a good thing. He could return on the practice squad.

11:26 a.m.: Keelan Doss is a tough kid, but the receiver group was too deep. Maybe he hangs around the practice squad again.

11:21 a.m.: More cuts via Levi Damien. No shocks here. Matt Dickerson getting cut isn’t a big surprise. The veteran defensive tackle was lost in the shuffle.

9:46 a.m.: Here is one beat writer’s thoughts on the Raiders’ shopping list this week. I think it starts at the offensive line and at linebacker.

9:41 a.m.: The Raiders are cutting third-round cornerback Isiah Johnson. They had big hopes in 2019 when they took him in the fourth round. But he couldn’t stay healthy.

7:50 a.m.: The Giants have cut cornerback Madre Harper. He was originally signed as a Raiders’ undrafted free agent. The Raiders are pretty full at cornerback, so I’m not sure there is a fit.

7:49 a.m.: Washington is cutting tackle David Sharpe. The Raiders traded him there. It wouldn’t be a shock if the Raiders make a claim if they want to beef up their O-line.

August 30

3:31 p.m.: This is no surprise, but the Raiders may make some trades in the next day. I can see the offensive line and linebacker being areas Las Vegas looks to add at.

3:26 p.m.: Linebacker Denzel Perryman has passed his physical with the Raiders and thus his trade from the Carolina Panthers should be official soon, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

2:58 p.m.: If the Raiders want another veteran backup to Andre James at center, Matt Skura is available. If the Raiders like him more than current backup Nick Martin, there could be interest.

2:43 p.m.: Linebacker Darron Lee was given an injury settlement, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He went on the injured reserve recently. Now, he is off the roster entirely.
