The last few days couldn’t have been more perfect for Las Vegas Raiders’ defensive end Maxx Crosby.

Crosby dominated on Monday Night Football while over 15 million people tuned in as he registered two sacks and six total tackles, and most importantly, the team got a huge win against a formidable opponent in the Baltimore Ravens.

The people in Allegiant Stadium and watching on television weren’t the only ones that took notice of the third-year pro’s outstanding performance, though. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported today that Crosby has been named as the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Week.

This is the second time in the former fourth-round pick’s career that he’s received this honor. During his rookie season, he recorded four sacks in a Week 10 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals and earned the AFC DPOW award as well.

Crosby likely isn’t done receiving recognition for his fantastic game against the Ravens, either. Per Pro Football Focus, he led the NFL in total pressures with 13 and was the site’s second highest-graded edge defender behind Chandler Jones.

If Crosby can keep the momentum going throughout the season, I might be writing about how he’s a Pro Bowl and All-Pro candidate in the near future. Keep it up Maxx, I could use the extra work!
