All offseason Las Vegas Raiders fans were wondering if there was a chance for a Marcus Mariota package. Week 1 came, and three plays in, we saw our first glimpse at what the Mariota package could look like in this offense.
However, that didn’t last long as the former Oregon duck re-injured his quad and missed the rest of the action. The Raiders announced yesterday that the quarterback would be on the injured reserve list for at least three weeks.

Jon Gruden talked about how losing Mariota was a blow to his offensive game plan. He expected to use him regularly with the offense as a change of pace and red zone threat.
Hopefully, the injury isn’t too serious where Mariota will have to miss more than three weeks. At this point, if Derek Carr were to go down, the Raiders season would be in jeopardy.
