The Las Vegas Raiders will have to play without starting and rookie right tackle Alex Leatherwood for the rest of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The broadcast team announced that Leatherwood suffered an oblique injury and won’t return to the game. Fourth-year backup offensive tackle Brandon Parker is in the game as the rookie’s replacement.
Leatherwood didn’t appear to be noticeably injured on the field during the first half, but he got evaluated at halftime and was shut down.
The Alabama product did struggle in the first half, giving up a strip-sack to TJ Watt and taking a touchdown off the board with a holding penalty.
Pittsburgh has suffered a couple of injuries of their own as well. Watt, one of the best defensive players in the league, is out with a groin injury and defensive tackle Tyson Alualu had to be helped off the field with a lower leg injury and won’t return.
