Derek Carr’s hot early start to the season has caught the attention of many, including sports books.
According to our friends at FanDuel, the Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback is becoming an early betting favorite to win the NFL MVP award.
Here are FanDuel’s early NFL MVP odds leaders:
2021 #NFL MVP Odds
— Spotrac (@spotrac) September 21, 2021

Mahomes, +500
Brady/Murray, +600
Stafford, +1000
Rodgers, +1200
Allen, +1300
Prescott/Wilson, +1400
Jackson, +1600
Carr/Herbert, +2000
Prior to the season, Carr’s MVP odds were priced in the 50-1 and 60-1 range. So, people who are holding a ticket at that price have to feel pretty good right now, Actually, I think, after two games, getting Carr booked at 20-1 is a solid value as well. He is playing at an elite level and there are no signs that he is slowing down.
So, if betting is your thing, getting in on the Carr MVP action now isn’t a bad idea.
