After the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the San Francisco 49ers lost in Week 3, there are only five unbeaten teams remaining in the NFL.
Of course, your Las Vegas Raiders are one of those five teams. The others are the Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers.
Remarkably, four of the five teams heading into Week 4 with a perfect record did not make the playoffs last season. The Rams are the only unbeaten team that made the 14-team postseason in 2020.
This is the 3rd time since start of 8 division format in 2002 that at least 4 teams that missed the playoffs started 3-0 the next season. The others:

It looks like a new era is developing in the NFL in 2021 and the Raiders are one of the league’s new power teams.
In other Raiders’ links:
- Comeback kings: The Raiders have come back from being 14-0 down twice already. They only done that twice in four other complete seasons.
- Hayward is balling: PFF has Raiders’ cornerback Casey Hayward as one the best graded corners in the NFL.
- Playoff chances: The Raiders have a 59 percent chance of making the playoffs according to the Football Outsiders. Frankly, I believe those chances are much higher.
- Game breakdown: The Athletic has a complete review of the Raiders’ overtime win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
