What is the HC Interview Plan?

Do we have one in place yet?

It seems the majority of the highly sought after candidates have already begun interviewing.

Why did we not utilize the early interview window that was given to us?

The biggest issue with Mark Davis, just like his father, is that he makes decisions based on emotion. He didn't want to hurt Coach B's feelings by interviewing potential candidates before the season was over. That is one of the major downfalls of this franchise over the past 20 plus years. A lot of important decisions have been made based on past ties to the organization, as well as personnel decisions.

I won't be surprised if Davis keeps Coach B as well as Carr long term. Davis will listen to the players who are all clamoring for Coach B to stay. Who wouldn't? How many times have interim coaches won over their players during their coaching stretch? How many actually worked out?

Just looking around the league and the teams still in the playoffs what seems to be one of the biggest common factors is that a majority of the HC's are offensive minded. Look at the majority of the coaches that were fired this offseason. Most were defensive minded. Coach B must have done something right during his term as HC, but the odds are against him being a successful HC. A ST coordinator who until this year had no HC experience is not what this team should be looking for.

Hopefully this coaching search is done right and is thorough. Miss on the HC hire and we are looking at another 5 years of losing football.
