Anyone else starting to get really worried about McDaniels?

After week 1 we heard comments about how Carr only runs plays that McDaniels calls and most of the time the receiver is predetermined based on the call and matchup and Carr only runs the play as called. Minor red flag that he has no trust in his QB, but not completely insane in week 1 with a new system.

Week 2 we see multiple more red flags:

  • Major implosion in the second half (poor play calling)
  • Entire offense seemed out of sorts and frustrated
  • Josh Jacobs when asked about his running in the second half comments "I can only run what is called"
McDaniel's has a history of alienating players (Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall). Based on the players comments and body language I am wondering if he is doing the same thing again. What are the odds he went into halftime and went over the gameplan that he is taking the game out of Carr and Jacobs' hands, going conservative and playing defense not to lose the game. I could see where that would rub Carr and Jacobs the wrong way, especially if the rumors he is an egomaniac are true. I am getting this growing fear that McDaniels has already lost the locker room and we are in for a huge rebuild. Our playoff core is no more.
