The Las Vegas Raiders’ final defense has been much improved in several areas this season and one that stands out is displayed the first time they hit the field during games.

Through 14 games, and including during Thursday night’s home win over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Raiders have forced eight opponents to go 3-and-out, forcing a punt in their opening drive of the game.

That’s eight out of 14 and it’s pretty impressive. It also leads the NFL this season, which is also impressive.

Furthermore, according to the Associated Press, the Raiders are just the first NFL defense, to force, at least, eight 3-and-outs through the first 15 weeks of the season (the Raiders) had their bye in Week 13). The last time it was done was in 2009, but the San Francisco 49ers.

So, kudos to Raiders’ defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and his unit.
