With their playoff hopes on the line Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders will have an added challenge as starting tailback Josh Jacobs is inactive for Sunday morning’s game at the Indianapolis Colts. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PT.
Las Vegas interim head coach Antonio Pierce said Friday that Jacobs would be a game-time decision Sunday with a quad injury. He was listed as doubtful on the injury report.
Jacobs missed the past two games. Second-year running back Zamir White had 145 yards rushing against the Chiefs and will start at the Colts. Jacobs, who may be in his final days as a Raider because he may be leave as a free agent. Jacobs missed a total of six games in his first three seasons and didn’t miss a game last season.
Raiders’ center Andre James (ankle) and tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (knee) are active after being questionable. Left tackle Kolton Miller is off the injury report after dealing with a shoulder injury for six weeks.
Rookie tight end Michael Mayer will miss his second straight game Sunday because of a toe injury. The second-round pick from Notre Dame has become a reliable target for quarterback Aidan O’Connell. Mayer has 27 receptions for 304 yards and two touchdowns this season. Austin Hooper is expected to start in Mayer’s place. Hooper has 18 catches for 167 yards.
