This mock draft thinks it does

I have a policy on NFL mock drafts (even ridiculously early ones).

I don’t pay a lot of attention to them, but when i find on that is interesting and worth discussing, I dive in.

That’s the case with a recent 2024 First-round NFL mock draft conducted by Pro Football Focus. PFF has the Las Vegas Raiders, currently slotted to pick 11th next spring, taking Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze.

That sticks out to me.

Yes, Odunze, who is from Las Vegas , is a heck of a player. But I’m not sure wide receiver is the first place the Raiders should look to add in the draft.

There are many other needs (potentially at the position where the job is to throw the ball) that the Raiders may have to look at first. Plus, they have a ton of invested at the position beginning with high-dollar starting receiver Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers. So, while Odunze is an intriguing pick, I think there’s some reasons to question the choice.

What do you think of that idea?
