August 31

1:07 p.m.: The Raiders mourn Pro Football Hall of Famer Gil Brandt.

1012:01 p.m.: Looks like the Raiders have some salary-cap adjusting to do.

10:01 a.m.: Fullback Alec Ingold, cut by the Raiders last year, is flourishing in Miami.

6:26 a.m.: The move to Las Vegas keeps paying off for Mark Davis.


August 30

4:27 p.m.: Josh Jacobs is happy to be back with the Raiders.

2:05 p.m.: The Raiders worked out some players and signed Devin Ross and Antoine Wesley to the practice squad.

12:07 p.m.: Chandler Jones and Dylan Parham are back at practice and, barring setbacks, they’re on pace to play in Week 1.

10:59 a.m.: The Raiders’ 53-man roster appear to be pretty healthy going into the season.


August 29

12:45 p.m.: Darren Waller, who the Raiders traded to the Giants this offseason, has been named a team captain in New York.

9:42 a.m.: The Raiders will face a new kicker in Week 1,

8:59 a.m.: The Raiders will not be facing Von Miller in Week 2 in Buffalo.


August 24

2:19 p.m.: The Raiders waived offensive tackle Brandon Parker from the Reserve/Injured list, officially ending his tenure with the Silver and Black.

1:43 p.m.: The Raiders probably won’t face Jerry Jeudy in Week 1.

8:09 a.m.: At some point, the Dolphins reached out about Josh Jacobs, according to The Athletic. The Raiders still don’’t want to deal him.


August 23

3:57 a.m.: Some workout news.

12:53 p.m.: No practice for Davante Adams on Wednesday.

11:39 a.m.: First-round pick, Tyree Wilson, is slowly making progress toward being ready for Week 1.

9:47 a.m.: The Raiders signed former Illinois linebacker Isaac Darkangelo. The undrafted rookie was cut by the Lions in May. His best bet is probably the practice squad.

7:37 a.m.: The Raiders are reportedly signing defensive tackle Doug Costin. He played 13 games with Jacksonville with the last one being in the 2021 season. He is a longshot to make the roster.

7:21 a.m.: As expected, the Raiders have no plans to trade Josh Jacobs even though talks aren’t progressing at the moment.


August 22 (Happy 26th birthday, Maxx Crosby

1:51 p.m.: Second-year linebacker Darian Butler was put on the injured reserve, ending his season. He played 15 games as an undrafted rookie in 2022.

1:21 p.m.: As the Raiders start the practice week, several players are not practicing including defensive end Chandler Jones and guard Dylan Parham. Both players have been out for more than a week. However, cornerback Brandon Facyson has returned after being out for three weeks.


August 21

2:05 p.m.: The Raiders worked out veteran linebacker Vince Biegel.

2:01 p.m.: Former Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs has begun his prison sentence. He is eligible for parole in August, 2026.

8:02 a.m.: There is speculation that Josh Jacobs will return to the Raiders for Week 1.

4:58 p.m. PT: This is cool, Raiders.

12:40 p.m.: Good stuff, Maxx.

11:51 p.m.: Things are getting chippy in Southern California.

11:15 a.m.: Per The Athletic, here are the Raiders’ playing not working against the Rams on Wednesday.

9:26 a.m.: Five days after getting dinged in a practice with the 49ers, star Raiders’ receiver Davante Adams is back to work, ready for a joint workout with the Rams in Southern California.

5:02 p.m.: Nice work, Raiders.

1:59 p.m.: The Raiders worked out several players Tuesday.

11:42 a.m.: The Raiders cut veteran defensive tackle Kyle Peko.

10:23 a.m.: The Raiders’ have their interception shoes on in a joint practice with the 49ers.

1:48 p.m.: Linebacker Jaylon Smith worked out for the Raiders last week but is signing with the New Orleans Saints.

10:39 a.m.: Second-round pick, tight end Michael Mayer is still out. His availability for Sunday’s preseason opener may be in jeopardy.

10:17 a.m.: Second-year defensive tackle Neil Farrell Jr. has been cleared for practice according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

10:07 a.m.: Charles Woodson is back in the fold ... as a business partner.

2:18 p.m.: The Raiders worked out some running backs.

1:41 p.m.: Former Raiders’ first-round Damon Arnette resolved a legal matter.

11:30 a.m.: The Raiders worked out a tight end coming off of an ACL injury.

8:31 a.m.: Raiders third-round pick Byron Young has been activated off the PUP list.

August 4

10:42 a.m.: Today’s injury report from The Athletic.

8:43 a.m.: Former Raiders coach Jon Gruden is continuing his consulting work with the Saints (and Derek Carr).

4:01 p.m.: Something to keep on eye on during each draft cycle.

9:01 a.m.: The Raiders have made some additions to the non-football front office as they continue to try to improve in that area.

8:03 a.m.: It seems like Raiders’ cornerback Brandon Facyson has avoided a serious injury, which is, of course, terrific news.

2:07 p.m.: The Raiders worked out veteran running backs Damien Williams and Rex Burkhead with Josh Jacobs staying away from the team because of a contract issue. Burkhead was in New England with Raiders coach Josh McDaniels.
