Raiders general manager search: Getting to know Trey Brown

This is his 2nd interview with Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Raiders are beginning their general manager interviews this week and have setup interviews with several candidates, including interim general manager Champ Kelly, who is considered a strong candidates.

But there are other candidates and one of those candidates is Trey Brown. Let’s get to know Brown better:

Current job:

He has been a senior personnel executive with the Cincinnati Bengals since 2022.

Age:

38.

NFL experience:

He was a scout with the Bengals in 2021. He was with New England from 2010-12 as a scouting assistant and then a scout. He was with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2013-18 as a scout, assistant director of college scouting and as the director of college scouting. He also spent time in the AAF and XFL.

Playing career:

He played cornerback at UCLA and was briefly with Chicago in 2009 as a undrafted free agent.

Known for:
He’s a young, sharp football lifer who has a keen eye for talent.

Second time around:

Brown was a candidate in Las Vegas two years ago when the Raiders hired Dave Ziegler as the general manager.

Good bloodlines:

Brown is the son of Oakland legend and UCLA star running back Theotis Brown, who played in the NFL for six seasons.
