Who can’t get behind a huge long shot in Las Vegas?

Sports books are just daring bettors to take a gamble on the 2020 Raiders as they begin their Las Vegas era. According to Oddschecker, the Raiders are a 80-1 long shot to win the Super Bowl this season. Oddschecker isn’t high on the Raiders this year, even though they are getting a lot of national buzz.

“They may have a new home, but the same struggle to make it out of the AFC West remains and the Raiders are not well-fancied to achieve the feat,” Oddschecker spokesman Pete Watt said. “However, while it is looking like another tough season for Las Vegas collectively, there is some cause for optimism in the shape of their rookie class, with Henry Ruggs III among the favorites to be named (Offensive Rookie of the Year).”

Oddschecker found some nice player prop bets, including for Ruggs. The No. 12 overall pick is priced at 20-1 to win the ORY. If betting is your thing. this is worth considering. The Raiders are going to get the ball in Ruggs’ hands often.

Las Vegas quarterback Derek Carr is priced at 100-1 to win the NFL MVP award. That would be a nice parlay with the Super Bowl odds. You hit that and your’e getting 2021 season tickets at Allegiant Stadium, again, if that’s your thing.

The Raiders are priced at 12-1 to win the AFC West and their win total is 7, which I think is begging for folks to hammer the over. Your thoughts?
