After taking a hit to the head from his own teammate early in the first quarter, Raiders cornerback Damon Arnette has been ruled out with a concussion.

As mentioned, he took the hit early in the first quarter of Sunday’s road game against the Atlanta Falcons and was taken off the field. After sitting some time out, he returned to action. His time on the field was short though, as referees told him to exit the game.
Arnette was evaluated for a concussion and has officially been ruled out. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious, as it looked like a pretty brutal hit that he took.
It’s been an up-and-down season for the rookie, as he’s already missed multiple weeks this year. Back in October, he was placed on the Injured Reserve with a thumb injury. That injury cost him a month, so hopefully this won’t be another roadblock for his rookie season.
When on the field, Arnette has shown flashes of being the potential superstar cornerback the Raiders saw when they drafted him.
