The Raiders welcome the Miami Dolphins to Las Vegas for a crucial game in regards to the AFC playoffs. Entering Saturday, Miami sits at 9-5, two games up on the Raiders in the standings. Meanwhile, Vegas sits at 7-7.
A loss would officially eliminate the Raiders from the playoffs. Even though their chances are small, there’s still hope for the Raiders to pull off a miracle and sneak their way in. But like we said, it needs to start with a win over Miami this Saturday.
This will be the first game in over a week for Vegas, as the last time we saw them was on Thursday Night Football when they dropped a heartbreaker to the Chargers in overtime. Vegas was close to putting the game away with a touchdown, but they were held to just a field goal. Meanwhile, rookie quarterback Justin Herbert drove LA down the field and rushed in the game-winning touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, the Dolphins are coming off a 10-point victory over the New England Patriots, eliminating them from playoff contention for the first time since the game of football was created. Miami is looking to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
Things haven’t been pretty for the Raiders when playing Miami, as they’ve lost six of the last seven matchups with them. Their last win came in 2017 when they won by three on the road.
