Silver Minings: Crazy trade scenario that could bring Deshaun Watson to Las Vegas

Check out this scenario from ESPN+ that involves a Raiders-Texans trade

NFL: Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

In all likelihood, Derek Carr is going to be the starting quarterback for the Raiders in 2021. But, for the sake of absolute anarchy, let’s say he isn’t because the Raiders pulled off a trade to acquire Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans.

It’ll be a heavy price, to say the least. Bill Barnwell of ESPN put together potential trade packages for the teams he would think could pull off a move for Watson. He lists the Raiders as one of those teams, and take a look at this crazy three-team trade.

Raiders send: 17th overall pick in 2021, 2022 first-round pick, 2023 first-round pick, QB Marcus Mariota (to Texans), QB Derek Carr (to Colts).

Texans send: 2022 third-round pick, QB Deshaun Watson (to Raiders).

Colts send: 84th overall pick in 2021 (to Raiders), 2022 fourth-round pick (to Texans).

Not only are the Raiders saying bye to Carr, they’re saying by to Mariota as well. Again, this is a hypothetical scenario. No way this happens. But, what if it did?
