The Raiders have had a decent offseason so far, but more moves are definitely coming. I’m sure there’s a certain player out there fans would like to see end up as a Raider.
Bleacher Report chose one remaining free-agent that would be a great fit for every NFL team. For the Raiders, they said that former Chiefs right tackle Mitchell Schwartz would be a solid addition.
Here’s what they had to say:
The Raiders blew up their offensive line this offseason, shipping off a trio of starters in Rodney Hudson, Gabe Jackson and Trent Brown. While they brought back Denzelle Good and Richie Incognito on new deals and acquired Nick Martin to plug the hole at center, Las Vegas still needs more help in the trenches.
Mitchell Schwartz would give the Raiders a proven offensive lineman who has the talent to start and keep this line playing like one of the league’s better units. While Schwartz dealt with injuries that cost him most of the 2020 season, he’s well worth kicking the tires on and would be an immense asset for Vegas if healthy.
No team has turned over their offensive line this offseason quite like the Raiders have. They’ve parted ways with some key pieces, and the biggest question heading into the season will be how much of a difference these new faces make.
As the article says Schwartz is a veteran presence who has started all 134 games he’s played in. Not sure of what the price would look like to add him, but it definitely seems like it would be worth a shot.

Should the Raiders sign Mitchell Schwartz?
