Las Vegas would be unwilling to part ways with the young wide receiver

Usually the biggest stars in the game are seen as untouchable. No matter what you’re offered, you wouldn’t part ways with a certain player. According to ESPN, there may be a player on the Raiders’ roster who they view as untouchable.

When breaking down potential trade offers for Julio Jones, ESPN said that 2020 NFL first round pick Henry Ruggs is “next to untouchable.”

Cap space, cap space and cap space. The Raiders have roughly $6 million in cap space and still have to sign a majority of their draft class. Plus, while Jones would be an upgrade over anyone in its receiver room, Las Vegas is committed to Henry Ruggs III taking the next step. He is next to untouchable, and you figure the Falcons would want him in a trade.

It was a disappointing rookie campaign for the 21 year old. Ruggs, the first wide receiver taken in the 2020 NFL Draft, was a non-factor in the Raiders offense. He appeared in 13 games and finished with 26 catches for 450 yards and two touchdowns. There were times where he showed flashes of his potential, but overall many Raiders weren’t as thrilled with his level of production.

With that being said, the Raiders are still high on the speedy wide receiver, and for good reason. He’s only going to be 22 this season, and you’d expect him to take the next step this year. However, if you have a chance to acquire a wide receiver talent like Julio Jones, would you do it?

Would you include Henry Ruggs in a deal for Julio Jones?
